WoW Karnataka 2018 was held on March 2nd & 3rd, 2018 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru. The 2 day event consisted of Conference, Exhibition, workshops, Buyer – Seller Meets, Karnataka Heritage Fashion Show and Felicitation of Worthy women, the Hidden Treasures of Karnataka who have made mark in their chosen fields.

The event brought together thought leaders, women achievers from diverse fields, women entrepreneurs, start-ups, policy makers and industry captains. It was a forum for celebrating womanhood, creating opportunities for networking and business.

The 2 days of extravaganza was full of energy, vibrancy, colour, glamour, dialogue, discussions, and merriment.

The celebration was particularly significant as it was being held by a state, which, according to a study by the International Labour Organisation, boasts of a women employment scenario that is better than the national average. Karnataka has also been ranked third in India for women entrepreneurial activity. Karnataka is home to over 1,03,169 Women Business Enterprises and the Government has also funded many start-ups, headed by women. It is also the first state to announce an industrial park solely for women

The two day event was part of a series of activities being organised by the State of Karnataka to commemorate International Women’s Day, which falls on 8th March. The Summit enabled about 600+ dynamic participants including Women Entrepreneurs, Multinational Corporate Buyers, Government Officials, Multilateral and Bilateral Organisations, Investors – Banks, Venture Capitalists and Industry Thought Leaders engaging in inspiring and interactive sessions. The key highlights of the event included Plenary Talks, Panel Discussions, Fire Side Chat, Buyer Seller Meet, Workshops, Heritage & Textiles show (Fashion Show) and Exhibition.
